The feature-rich 2.5-inch embedded board is building flexible I/O interfaces through board to board connectors, wide temperature range in a small-form factor motherboard to fit different needs of many demanding applications in various industries.

Its compact size form factor has ensured that it can fit into a variety of space constricting environments. In addition, the Intel® Kaby Lake-based motherboard was designed to withstand extreme temperatures, ranging from -20°C to +70°C (0°F to +158°F). The Pico-ITX embedded SBC is suitable for IoT/M2M related applications, industrial control, self-service terminals, digital signage, POS/kiosk displays, and more,” said Ken Lin, a product manager of Product PM Division at Axiomtek.
The palm-sized embedded board can support one 260-pin DDR4-2133 SO-DIMM with up to16 GB memory capacity. It offers a full-size PCI Express Mini Card slot in support of mSATA and a half-size PCI Express Mini Card slot on the rear side. Moreover, it has an emphasis on expandability with a pair of expansion connectors for an additional I/O board for additional signals including one PCIe x1 lane, one LPC, one DDI, four USB 3.0 ports, one SMBus and one HD audio to meet various communication requirements. The motherboard has utilized Intel® HD graphics engine to bring a true 4K high definition visual experience through 18/24-bit single/dual channel LVDS.
The PICO511, a rugged Intel® Core™-based 2.5-inch embedded motherboard, is equipped with advanced connectivity including one USB 2.0 port, one Gigabit Ethernet (built-in Intel® Ethernet controller i219LM), and one SATA-600 interface. To ensure reliable operation, the powerful Pico-ITX single board computer is supporting watchdog timer to detect and recover from computer malfunctions while monitoring temperature, voltage, fan speed, and more. Furthermore, it also supports Intel® Active Management Technology 11 (AMT 11) for better remote management.
