Axiomtek – a world-renowned leader relentlessly devoted in the research, development and manufacture of series of innovative and reliable industrial computer products of high efficiency – is pleased to introduce its Agent Maas Suite (AMS), the intelligent device management software that comes with data visualization and cloud-connectivity functionality designed to help reduce customers’ development time and effort spent on Industrial IoT project. Thru the Axiomtek’s AMS, users can manage and handle tasks in various classes efficiently, such as protocol communication, data collection and processing, message transmission, and information presentation.
The AMS contains two packages according to its operational role: system management – AXView 3.0 and remote management – MaaS (Management as a Service). Besides providing basic device management and data management, the AXView 3.0 can provide the system information, includes hardware platform and operating system and also can monitor hardware statuses, such as temperature, voltage, fan speed, and IO ports. For data management, the AXView 3.0 integrates several protocols and one development software tool for user designing data processing and data flow more convenient. The role of MaaS is to manage multiple hardware devices with AXView 3.0 installed and to integrate all machine information so that the administrator at the remote control center can instantly grasp the status of all operating equipment and system configuration settings and keep track of event records. The intelligent AMS software can automatically identify most hardware platform models from Axiomtek and remotely monitor hardware conditions, I/O interface status and system usage. It also can trigger an alert when unusual conditions occur.
"The application development and operating management are two important aspects in developing IoT or IIoT projects. In the past, the industrial PC manufacturer only provides BSP, SDK or utility to access hardware platform and users have to do software integration by themselves. Nowadays the AMS supports three common protocols used in industrial applications: Modbus TCP/RTU, OPC UA and LoRaWAN; additionally, it includes an easy-to-use visual programming tool, Node-RED, for software development," said Mark Lu, a product manager of Product PM Division at Axiomtek. "Users can operate the device management without coding with BSP or SDK, and all the information and status of hardware platform can be easily processed in Node-RED with drag-and-drop, select and configure."
For factory automation, device monitoring and data acquisition are realized through Axiomtek’s AMS software. The connected equipment with different protocols can be monitored through the AMS to help operators track, analyze and report Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) measure in real time.
Adoption of smart buildings is on the rise. By integrating Axiomtek’s AMS software, the environmental data collected from sensors such as temperature, relative humidity, sunlight, carbon dioxide, and wind speed can be monitored to enable building staff to optimize building operation. Besides, the AMS can automatically turn on/off the air conditioner, lighting, humidifier and dehumidifier to adjust the environmental conditions or trigger an alert when unusual conditions occur.
