The AX92352 is a PCI Express x1 vision card with encoder inputs and real-time controls. It features 2-CH 32-bit incremental quadrature encoder input with FIFO (first in first out) buffers. It also integrates 4-CH isolated trigger input and 4-CH isolated trigger output with microsecond-scale control and 8-CH isolated DI and DO for sensor and actuator control. With the support of encoder input and real-time I/O control, the AX92352 is able to synchronize multiple cameras in area scan applications. It also can record the encoder positions and trigger the cameras for inline production inspections.
Often the machine vision applications use strobe lighting to increase the light intensity for a short duration. It aims to make the captured image clear and free of distortion. The use of lighting control is therefore critical across the conveyor. The AX92353, a lighting control module, has 4-CH independent constant current LED drivers with the current-controlled method. It can simply manage the output of lighting control by supporting both the strobe mode and trigger mode. The output current is 1A per channel in the strobe mode; and 0.5A per channel in the trigger mode. To meet the needs of detecting objects, the lighting intensity can be easily controlled by a software setting. Duration and delay time for LED output are supported as well.
