The AX93357 is equipped with PCIe 4.0 x16 host interface and compatible with Axiomtek’s latest 3rd generation Intel® Xeon-based (Ice Lake-SP) network appliance, NA870, for improving the efficiency of performing workloads. This high-bandwidth Ethernet module is specially designed to provide broad interoperability, critical performance optimizations, and increased agility for 5G networks, communications, cloud computing, data centers, and enterprise IT network solutions.
The AX93357 features Intel® Ethernet Adaptive Virtual Function (Intel® Ethernet AVF) which enables users deploying mass-scale virtual machines (VMs) or containers for their network infrastructure to have a common virtual function (VF) driver. This driver eases single root I/O virtualization (SR-IOV) hardware upgrades or changes and preserves base mode functionality in hardware and software. Due to enhanced server virtualization features of SR-IOV with up to 256 virtual functions (VFs) and 768 virtual station interfaces (VSIs), the AX93357 can effectively utilize existing resources in IT infrastructure in a cost-effective way.
